Resources/How matching works

How it worksFor businesses3 min read

Know who’s sending you clients.

Someone recommends you to a friend. The friend books a class, gets a facial or places an order. You make the sale, but unless you ask exactly the right question at exactly the right moment, you may never know who sent them. In short: everyone who recommends you has a link, and you see who sent each new client and what they brought in.

01

The part of word of mouth you can't see.

Most local businesses know recommendations matter. A new client mentions a friend at the front desk, and that's usually where the trail ends. There's no simple way to connect the person who recommended you to the purchase that followed.

That's what Roeme is built to fix.

02

The matching shouldn't become another job.

On Mindbody and Boulevard, Roeme matches qualifying purchases automatically once you're connected. On another system, we work with you to set up matching through your sales reporting.

Either way, nobody has to change how customers book or pay. The point is to connect the activity you already have to the recommendations bringing people in.

03

Recognize the people bringing customers your way.

When you can see which members, regulars, staff and local creators are connected to purchases, you have a much better basis for thanking them, rewarding them and encouraging them to keep going. How to build rewards people want to earn.

Word of mouth will always be personal. It doesn't have to be invisible.
